Spring water is filtered naturally by the earth. As rain and snowmelt soak into the ground, the water moves slowly through layers of soil, sand, and rock, which trap particles and impurities along the way. At the same time, the water dissolves trace minerals like calcium and magnesium from the surrounding stone, which gives spring water its clean, crisp taste. The water collects in an underground source called an aquifer and eventually flows up to the surface as a spring, where it can be collected for bottling.

At Spirit Water, everything we do starts with Intention, from the springs we choose to how each bottle is handled on its way to you. After collection, our water passes through multi-stage sediment filtration that removes particles down to 1 micron, then activated carbon filtration to refine taste, remove organic compounds, and ensure clarity. Sub-micron microfiltration (0.2 to 0.45 micron) traps microscopic impurities, and UV disinfection and ozonation provide a final safety step before sealing, all without changing the water's natural character. Every bottle meets or exceeds FDA bottled water regulations (21 CFR Part 165), EPA drinking water standards, and IBWA quality guidelines, and we never add synthetic minerals, artificial flavors, chlorine, fluoride, chemical preservatives, or sodium. Then we seal it in infinitely recyclable aluminum bottles with a BPA-free liner, so what reaches you is as natural as where it began.

Spirit Water is a light, naturally soft spring water with a pH of 7.1, total dissolved solids (TDS) of 81 mg/L, total hardness of 33 mg/L, and calcium of 1.8 mg/L. A pH of 7.1 sits just above neutral (7.0), and our water gets there naturally, with no artificial alkaline processing. TDS measures the total amount of minerals dissolved in water, and at 81 mg/L, Spirit Water falls on the lighter end of the range, which is what gives it a smooth, clean taste. With total hardness of 33 mg/L, it's considered soft water, so it's refreshing on its own and never tastes heavy or chalky.

Spring water comes from a natural underground source and keeps the minerals it gathered on its way through rock and earth, which is where its taste and character come from. Purified water can start as any water, including tap, and is processed to strip nearly everything out, minerals included. At Spirit Water we intentionally source natural spring water: drawn from a natural spring system and bottled with its natural mineral character intact.
